ASSEMBLY OF THE FIGHTING ARTS CHAMPION TOURNAMENT KARATE RATINGS

GENERAL INFORMATION

- A.F.A.C.T. Ratings Season runs from January 1st - December 31st.

- Each year A.F.A.C.T. Ratings will hold 6-8 tournaments; the more you compete, the more points you will receive.

- There is no fee for joining A.F.A.C.T. Ratings. Once you compete in a tournament rated with A.F.A.C.T. Ratings, you will automatically become a member.

- Whatever age & rank you are on January 1st of the season will be the age & rank all your points will go to throughout the year, regardless of a birthday or change of rank in the middle of the season (No matter what division you compete in). You should ALWAYS enter the division for your current rank & age.

- A.F.A.C.T. Ratings will hold an awards banquet each year immediately following our first or second tournament of the season (which is in February or March). Our first banquet was held in February 2000.

COMPETITOR POINT INFORMATION

1st Place = 10  2nd Place = 8  3rd Place = 6  4th Place = 4

Automatic Points For Competing = 2

- For each A.F.A.C.T. Rated tournament you compete in, you will receive 2 points in each division you compete in (i.e., Forms, Fighting, Weapons).

- If you place 1st - 4th in your division, you will receive ADDITIONAL points in the division you placed in. Example: you win 1st place in forms, 3rd place in fighting & you don't place in the top 4 in weapons, your total points for that tournament would be 12 points in forms, 8 points in fighting & 2 points in weapons.)
